“Going out was smooth. Parking was easy as the gate is plate recognition & after only a few minutes of waiting, a bus arrived, and the ride to the airport was quick, taking no more than 10 minutes with just one stop along the way. However, the return journey was a complete mess!
It was early Saturday morning, and about 15 people were already waiting for the Jet Parks bus. Within 10 minutes apart, four Long Stay buses showed up, but still no Jet Parks bus. As more passengers from other flights arrived, about 3 or 4 people went to the management office to ask about the Jet Parks bus, since none had come.
Forty minutes later, a bus finally arrived only to park behind a Long Stay bus, so we were all squeezed onto that one, which wasn’t ideal. The driver explained there was only one Jet Parks bus serving six Long Stay lots, but I suspect one of the Long Stay buses was reassigned to Jet Parks to accommodate the demand as another was in the parking lot when we arrived.
My advice? As soon as you get off the plane, if no bus arrives within five minutes, go straight to the office and let them know you’re waiting. That way, you won’t be stuck standing there for 45 minutes like I was, along with about 50-60 other people or park in the one where you can walk to the Terminal.
For content I pressed would reccomend in case it was a 'one off' bad morning etc. But for the money you pay theres nothing worse than standing around in the cold waiting for a driver and I will use others before using these again at East Midlands.”
“Easy to find and use. Issue with them not having my booking from Aph on their system which was frustrating. The guy let us in eventually but its frustrating and embarassing to be holding everyone
up. I called aph to tell them and to ensure we didnt have the problem on return.. Paticularly with a night flight but same again. I probably would bookdirect and not with Aph to avoid this problem.”
“Only issue was the wait for the bus to take us back to the car park, we waited 20 minutes for the bus to turn up and then another 10 minutes waiting for other passengers. 40 minutes before we got back to the car.”
“No problems at all but curious why there's Jet parks one and two when they are side by side and the bus stops number 1 ,2 in park one and finish in Jet 2 rather than starting at one again. Just another potential confusion. At the bus stop one person asked if the bus was for long stay 1 when actually they ment a jet park. Simple names always best.”
