“The walk from the car park could be great deal easier if the pavement surface was improved. To pull a wheeled suit case along the unfinished pavement surface is not a pleasant or easy task. Considering the high cost of parking at the airport some your profit ought to be spent on bringing the pavement surface up to a decent standard.”
“We had a problem exiting the car park. The registration reader did not work on our numberplate and the barrier stayed closed. A message said insert your ticket. Obviously we did not have one. There was nothing on the system to enable us to call for assistance. By this time quite a line of card were behind us. Eventually we backed up and they were able to successfully leave. We originally approached the barrier from the left and obviously this did not enable our number plate to be read. After a frustrating length of time trying to sort this we drove around the carpark and headed straight towards the exit barrier which opened successfully. This urgently needs sorting to prevent other users finding themselves in the same situation. Annoyed and frustrated. There needs to be a contact button installed when problems arise to speak to a controller who can release the barrier.”
“East Midlands Car Parking is a disgrace. Big sprawling areas which are badly maintained. Parked in Mid Stay 1 and the spaces between cars is minimal. Drove around to find a space that when parked I could get out of the car but that meant one of the cars next to me had a tight squeeze to get into their car. The pavements to the airport are badly maintained which meant pulling your suitcase is a nightmare resulting in one of my suitcase wheels is now buckled and tyre less. Expensive money grabbing carports along way from terminal. Worse experience in many years.”
“Easy to access and find a parking space. There were a lot of road works going on outside of arrivals/departures and there was no clearly signed route to walk back to the car park when we returned. Many people were walking on the road and ducking under car park barriers!”
