I do appreciate Highwayman are not responsible for people who haven’t booked with them.
But, we met a 87 yrs old woman in the departure lounge at Arrecife Airport (Lanzarote) whose daughter was ill, and couldn’t pick her up at Cardiff .
We offered to take her home as she lived near us. We got to Highwayman bus at 00.15 ish, explained to the driver our predicament with the elderly lady.
He said bus was full, and she would have to go back to pick up zone, and we would have to pick her up after.
When unloading my case Bus driver said he was sorry about no room on bus.
I pointed out to him, the passenger seat beside him was empty, and that she was a vulnerable 87 yr old women, who now had to walk back to the airport at 00.15 in the morning in the rain. (My wife accompanied her)
I feel with a little more consideration, she could have been seated in the front, rather than having to walk back to drop off point, in the rain and cold, albeit with my wife.”
