“Have used several times now and is in easy walking distance of the terminal but also advantage of courtesy bus if you need it. Just wish it was owned by APH who we always use wherever we fly from”
“My experience with Car Park 5 was quite traumatic. Arriving at the car park was very easy and finding somewhere to park was not difficult. The problem was very stressful when leaving after a long haul flight. I arrived at the exit barrier expecting the bar to lift automatically however the screen was showing that I owed £581 for 10 days parking. I immediately pressed for assistance and I was asked for the booking reference number which I gave. The person through the intercom immediately said that this number was not recognised and was adamant that this was not the right reference number, however this was the only one I had. After about 5 minutes I was still not through the barrier and the traffic began to build up behind me. At one point drivers were getting out their cars to see what was going on. Eventually after a further 5 minutes the person behind the intercom instructed me to move back then forwards. The bar opened and no explanation was given into the reasons why I was delayed. I was very disappointed of my experience and Carpark 5 should be made fully aware of the bookings made through APH.”
“Easy to find but exit signs not very well marked.
Parking bays can be a little tight.
Pick up stops can be clearly seen.
It is advisable to make a note of the stop and the way back to your parking space.
If you miss a bus the waiting time is 15-20 minutes.
You are dropped, and picked up, right outside the terminal.
You take your keys with you.
The bus speaker system keeps you informed of bus stop numbers on the return journey.
Barriers are automatic vehicle recognition.”
