“Good location close to terminal. Entry and exit work fine. Needs an indicator system so you can see where spaces are, otherwise it took me 15 mins of driving around to find a space”
“Easy to use, clearly sign posted with number plate recognition. Parking spaces all numbered and plenty of spaces. It is a 5 minute walk across from car park to departures. I would recommend for ease of use in all aspects.”
“Where this car park is, at the airport that's marvellous - a short walk (alas, in the rain, parhaps) across to the terminals. Great.
Finding a free space is a nightmare. It's nearly always full. There are lots of floors, and you have to drive round the convoluted ranks of each floor, rubber-necking left and right, until you just happen upon a space. This is a HORRID START to your eventual flight from this airport. Why, oh WHY, cannot this car park have information available on where to park? Elsewhere in the world there are simple shopping centres, like Balexert, Switzerland, which have green or red lights in the ceiling above EVRY parking space, so you can see from the and of a row where to go. This concrete jungle car park known as BHX Car Park 1 has NO HELP FINDING A SPACE AT ALL.
The number-plate recognition works well at entry and exit, and proves that the car park owners are not totally devoid of twenty-first century technology, unlike their total lack of information on free spaces.
Would I recommend to a friend that they start their holiday with frantic head-turning dodgem-car trailing round the tight ranks and sharp turns of this car park while the clock ticks on toward their flight closing time? Hard to imagine worse stress. ABSOLUTELY NOT.”
