“First time using. Booking and finding car park easy. Not like the APH at Manchester. No camera system to inspect car on arrival, just a guy with a camera phone. Process was smooth but pick up could have been better. Had to wait for bus in the freezing cold for 10 -15 mins. Would use again though”
“I have used this site many times. Favourable pricing. The new drop off and pick up process is quick and effective. Our return flight was early and proceeding through the airport was quicker than expected. Bus was at airport (bonus) and when dropped off at Mackadown Lane, scanned the ticket and keys werein Amazon style locker and car only a few feet away. Very good.”
“I knew that the previous Birmingham site had closed down a few years ago and I'd have to work out the new route, but even so I found it very hard finding my way from the A38 to the APH site. In the dark it was even worse. Your directions now are only given from the M42 which was more inconvenient for me coming from Derby.
On arrival I found the transfer buses |(both there and back) to be less frequent.
The worst though was the automated system for getting my keys back. I just couldn't get the thing to recognise the bar code and in the end had to seek help. It may have been that the scrappy bit of paper with the bar code on it had suffered a bit between pick up and use - I reckon a more substantial and durable version woud probably work better.
To sum up, I much preffered the easy access and personal service offered at the old APH site rather than this new one.
That on top of the fact that Birmingham is a poor airport to fly from in terms of the standard of it's services, particularly wrt the baggage handling on the return leg, means that I will be unlikely to use it or the APH facility again. Too much stress!
I have used APH for many yers and will continue to do so for my Manchester deprtures, but it will have to be last resort for me to use Birmingham again.”
“Satisfactory service but there was some confusion at the bus stop on return as another Air parks collection bus (blue ticket service) arrived with APH affiliated logo but it was not the correct bus for us and we and other customers had to wait longer than anticipated as a result to get back to the car park.”
“The greeting you receive when you drop your car is very welcoming and professional. The self serve key collection was simple to use and our car was positioned in Row A so we didn’t have to trundle our cases very far.
I would’ve given 5* if the airport collection bus arrived a bit sooner . We were a large group off one flight waiting in the early hours for what seemed like 30 min. When it arrived we all had to cram in and some people had to stand with their heavy case unsecured for the whole journey back. This would’ve proved catastrophic if there had been a need for the driver to break hard. Two buses should’ve been sent to collect the amount of people waiting. Passenger safety needs to be prioritised.
All in all I think APH still provides the best value for money.”
“EASY, pull up leave your keys, receive a ticket, short bus ride, 2 minute wait for collection on return, collect keys from a key safe, number on ticket as to where your car is parked, collect and go. Very organized.”
