“My plug hole was too small for this device – please check the size of your plug hole before ordering. My plug hole is 35 mm – it appears that it’s just a little too small and so the rubber ring does not fit within the cavity. The website states that it does not fit plug holes which are 50 mm or more but does not state The minimum size – I believe this is a mistake as I am now having to return the item to get a full refund including postage. It’s a shame as in theory it looks like it could’ve been a game changer – however because it doesn’t fit flush – it floats about When water enters, if you wedge it in really tightly – it does appear to work okay – but any hint of anything knock it out out of the hole and it floats about again. As it’s for my husband and he has dementia – he can’t cope with the idea of this and it is causing him Distress to use it – so we have taken it out and left the plug hole empty. Perhaps a new one could be designed and manufactured with a smaller rubber stopper? I have purchased the big white buttons for my husband and they have worked brilliantly (when he remembers that they are there and what they do) so I am loath to give an overall review which is poor – just a shame that the website information does not make it clear and it appears that no one in customer services are aware of this issue. I am certain that the problem is down to what I have stated – I do have a background in designing products although now I am retired.”

“This isn’t great in my kitchen. When I put the plates in the sink the plug released and drained the water. I decided then to wash my plates one at a time which works but isn’t ideal. Then I thought I’d test it just to make sure my husband can be left alone without a flood. Put the plug in, turned on the tap. The sink filled and overflowed and the plug still hadn’t released. I guess my sink isn’t big enough for this because the basin plug works just fine.”

We're sorry to hear that our customer hasn't had much success with the Magiplug. We can see that the customer ordered two different Magiplugs from us. One of these appears to be working but is meant for smaller sinks (basin version), and the other Magilpug isn't working because the kitchen sink is too small (kitchen version).
