“I bought this for my Mum who has difficult in plugging in the TV. Haven't used it yet as we got to pick our moment to introduce changes, but hopefully stop the frustration of Mum switch the opposite socket on to the one plugged.”

“Excellent product but the challenge I found was that for house phones that are portable the actual plugs are deeper than a normal plugs therefore you can only snap it shut on one side. My mother has dementia and kept on switching things off. So it has been a life line.”

“Easily fitted and appears to be of reasonably of good quality,although the key operation may cause the Carers of this lady some problems in opening mainly because the key hole is adjacent to a fridge ,but hopefully with a bit of practice they will manage”

“Bought one for my dad who has dementia, as a deterrent to stop him causing himself harm in the kitchen. When I tried it before fixing onto the socket, I found one side of the lid was sticking. I “fixed” it then fitted it to the socket. The lid stuck again and when I tried to fix it, it snapped in half. Would have been perfect for what I needed but now unable to use it.”

We're sorry to hear that our customer has experienced problems with their lockable plug cover. Although it can appear that the socket cover is jammed on first use, this isn't the case, the locking/unlocking mechanism opens in two separate motions. Please only ever lock/unlock the cover using the keys provided and as explained in the instructions. “We bought a couple of these to control the use of XBox/PS4 by our ASD/ADHD teenage son. We had already fitted smart sockets, controllable via a mobile app, but it was just simply a case of pushing the button on the face plate to turn it back on. These fitted the bill perfectly! Easy to fit and use. Seem to be very well put together, with good quality plastic. Time will tell if he decides to 'smash them off the wall' but so far so good.”
