How does this feature work?MP3* music files need to be downloaded onto a USB stick which is then inserted into the back of the music player and concealed with the back panel. The number of songs that can be stored will depend on the size of the USB you use. A 4MB USB can usually store around 250 songs. When the person wishes to listen to their own music, they simply press the "My Playlist" button on the top panel of the music player. Please refer to the manual which accompanies the radio for guidance on how to download music.The radio does not currently support music downloaded via Mac.*Music must be downloaded as MP3 files onlyPlease tell me more about the USB and which one to useWe suggest using a USB V3.0 or 2.0 - format this to FAT32 and ensure you do this prior to loading music onto the USB. Please only use a USB up to 32GB, this will be ample for 2000+ songs to be stored.Can the playlist songs be skipped forward with the simple buttons?No this can only be done from the back of the radio as it has been designed to be as simple as possible.Can the playlist be used for Audiobooks?This is not currently suitable for audio books; it has been designed for radio and a music player (with a USB stick) only.What frequencies can the radio be tuned to?UK: The radio can be tuned to stations on FM, DAB and DAB+. “Simple to add playlist. Took dad a few tries to select buttons for radio stations and loves it! He's sight impaired as well as Alzheimer's, so only improvement I'd suggest is making the buttons a different colour. He kept pressing the white parts not grey buttons, hence 4 stars.”

“Fantastic radio very simple to use but good sound and quality. The only problem unfortunately is that the batteries compartment is a very tight and slightly too small for the large batteries we installed the 4 x D batteries but could not close the back plate properly it kept springing open. We did report it back and got a very quick reply in the mean time we ourselves removed some extra plastic on the back plate case around the compartment and it closed satisfactory. The radio is not a cheap purchase so in future this needs to be addressed for it to work correctly. Otherwise we are pleased with our purchase.”

We’re happy to hear that our customer thought the music player was very simple to use, but sorry to hear about the problems encountered with the battery compartment. During testing we found that the battery compartment was indeed very tight but we managed to insert the batteries fully to enable the back cover to close properly. We fed back our customer’s comments to the manufacturer and can confirm that this problem no longer occurs.

“Bought this as a gift for my 93 year old father who has dementia. Was pleasantly surprised to find the audio quality was very good. Only disappointment is that I can't make a playlist using my MAC unless it's from CD's (not downloaded music) which is hopeless as I don't own any CDs appropriate for him to listen to.”

“We are pleased to have found this product for our cousin who has mild/moderate dementia. She hadn't been listening to her radio as she "couldn't be bothered" but didn't really understand how to turn it on. She has taken to this simple radio which we were able to place beside her within easy reach and in her line of vision. She only turns on the first "channel" but we're happy with that. My only suggestion, but it's no big deal, is that a carry handle would be useful.”
