My wife suffers with dementia and the arrival of Joy has brought another area of interest to life, she is very happy to play and engage with this lifelike toy for long periods of time. Aa great product.

Mum loves her cat and believes it to be real. She gets much comfort from her cat, talking and stroking it, which eases her agitation and gives her a positive focus.

I gave this tabby cat to mum today. My mum was delighted and won’t stop cuddling her. Mum has named her Ginger. You can hear the mechanics but I don’t think it’s an issue as mum is so happy.

My mother had to move into sheltered accommodation a few years ago and had to give her cat to me. My brother and I purchased the ginger tabby and she absolutely loves it especially the purring. My only regret is that we didn't get her one sooner.

She's wonderful. Has filled a hole in my life. So like my last cat. It's unreal. Long blonde silky hair. Plaintive meow. Just like my Lillie. It's uncanny.

We purchased the cat for our mum after seeing her reaction to the dog she has had for a while, now she interacts with them both all the time when in her room in the care home and is convinced there real pets and its obvious they make her much happier when doing so.

We got this for our Mum who has Alzheimers and does not show much interest in normal activities anymore such as TV or social interactions. But she has always liked cats and had one as a child. We were a bit dubious, but as soon as she opened it and turned it on, it caught her attention, and she was responding to it as if it were a real cat. It was really quite touching to see her smile and her eyes light up. As for the product itself, it is reaonably soft and tactile, with responses such as mewing, purring and arms and legs move and it rolls over and sits up. The head also moves although this makes a clicking sound which is quite mechanical and we were not sure if it was normal. It also mimicks washing its paw. Also the mouth and eyes open to make it more realistic, which is endearing. It does have reasonably soft fur and comes with a little brush so you can groom it - my Mum liked this a lot and sat there brushing him for some time. There is also an on/off/mute switch. The mewing is quite load and realistic! He does shut down after a while if not played with but also makes noises to interact if there is no input from the user. Overall a great idea and very well recommended and received. I would say that the "fur" does smell quite strong to begin with, probably as a result of the manufacturing process, also the clicking sound when the head moves could be a bit smoother/ quieter but this does not detract from the product itself. I think it could be a nice companion for anyone who is a little lonely or has lost a pet/has a fondness for cats. Many thanks Andy
