I bought this for my 92 year old dad who has dementia. He still lives at home with daily help from me, and has a love of cats. I was a bit worried that he would think it was a bit silly, but he has been delighted by it. The only problem is that I have to keep reminding him that its not real (during the first few days, he put some milk down for it, and filled up a litter tray). He has named it after my sister's cat who he used to look after when she was away. The body of the cat is quite hard due to the inner workings but he does not seem at all bothered by that. I wish I'd bought one a few years ago!

Bought this for my mum who has dementia and lives in a care home. I was worried it would not be realistic but it is and a joy to her and the small community of residents. She truly believes it's real and sometimes, so do I. Great invention, thinking about buying the silver one for all the residents to get joy from.

Chose the ginger tabby cat for a friend of mine who has Dementia. I have not unpacked "puss" but just looked at it in the box, it looks very realistic Hoping it will be well received as a birthday gift when I give it to him next week. Cannot wait to see his face, especially when the batteries are installed and it starts to move and acts like a real cat. Very pleased with purchase.

Purrfect! My mother has advanced vascular dementia. We have managed to keep her in her own home with the help of carers four time a day. She use to have a little dog but sadly he passed away a couple of years ago and mum wasn't up to caring for another pet. However, we couldn't get her to understand that he had gone and she would keep calling for him. This cat seems to have helped. Although I think she realises this cat isn't real, she loves cuddling it and talks to it. He face lights up when it purrs or meows. Would throughly recommend.

Bought as a present for my husband who has Dementia. We weren't sure if it would be accepted, but it was an immediate success/attraction, he talks to it and is concerned about it all the time and carries it around the house. It meows continuously, lifts it's front paw and rolls over. If we turn it off he thinks it's died, but there is a 'mute' option so that saves the day.

Great solution for my mum who lives alone but can’t have a pet.

Very satisfied. Purchased for a relative in a care home that does not allow pets. This product is the next best thing. Sounds very realistic but the clicking noise on movement slightly spoils the effect. She is happy with it.
