“so far so good! Eggs are in and after watching a YouTube about it the setting up was easy, if not, then instructions are very bad. Working well so far.”
“First time incubating. We had a success rate of 1 out of 5 eggs but I think that was the quality of the eggs and not the incubator at fault. It really only fits 6 chicken eggs max in the auto turner, not 12 as indicated. Nevertheless, The one chick that hatched is very healthy and robust and my kids are absolutely thrilled with the result - win. The instructions aren't great, you'll need to research online to get the best results. I did wrap the the incubator in a blanket as suggested in the manual. All in all, I think it's an easy to use incubator for a novice. I would recommend it to someone starting out who doesn't want to spend a lot or hatch more than 6 at a time. OR as a spare incubator for drying out the chicks while waiting for the others to pip.”
“Was difficult to get a constant temp. Measured with a more reliable thermometer that the top of the incubator was significantly hotter than the bottom once the tray was removed for lockdown. This meant i had to recalibrate twice. Only got 4 out of 9 chicks with very extended and delayed hatching due to temp inconsistencies. Wish i got the Janoel 24 instead as that has been reviews and not that much more expensive.”
