“I bought Blueair 270E with smoke stop filter for the paint smell in the artist studio which is not able to be ventilated. Some artists in the building are using strong smelly paints and I was painful with the chemicals. I used it for 3-4 days, 24hours with the speed 2 or 3. It works but it did not get rid of the paint smell completely. The sensor on the screen is smiling but I can still feel the smell. I don't think this air purifier is good for the paint or chemical smell. However, it's better than nothing.”

Dear Eun L., Thank you for taking the time to review the Blueair 270E SmokeStop Air Purifier. The SmokeStop filter in the Blueair units consist of carbon, which is the preferred method for the filtration of gases, chemicals and odours. The Blueair range uses about 900 grams of carbon - which is good, however, if chemical contamination is high, or an especially high level of air cleanliness is required, we would recommend a unit that uses significantly more high quality carbon, and is specifically designed to remove chemical and gas contamination from the air.
