“Very easy to change the filter. The old filter was showing as having 4% of use left. I don’t think it has been working well for a while though as there was a marked improvement in air quality today.”

“This filter is amazing in every way. I just wrote a review of the Atem itself. The review points out that the pre-installed filter is tainted by the styrofoam packaging, and if you're an MCS sufferer, should be thrown away without use. (Sadly, it means I lost the purchase cost of a filter.) Luckily, I'd bought two of these 'Hyper Hepa Plus' filters to go with my purchase, to use instead. The filter comes in a gorgeous box. Wonderfully, the box is just that... a simple cardboard shell, sealed in with a smell-free plastic wrapper. No inner plastic, styrofoam, or anything. Its perfectly packaged, so the filter remains untainted. Thats super important. The design of the filter is superb. The way it simply slots into the device is so clever, because there are all sorts of grooves, and it is curved, because the Atem is a circle. But it slots in easily. And then, as you press it down, a rubber 'lip' grips to the purifier, and forms an air tight seal. Really clever stuff, because its the first time I've ever known a filter to be rubber lined. They've thought of everything with this filter. Its a very advanced form of HEPA, equivalent to H13, which is lovely. And it has activated carbon to filter out smells. The air is so much fresher with this. For a desktop filter, for a purifier of this airflow rate, the surface area of the HEPA is huge. The filter lasts a whopping 1 year. Even if you never turned the purifier off from maximum setting, it would still last 6 months. Which is fantastic for just £79. Whats a tenner a month for clean air that has this much style?”
