“I bought one of these almost 10 years ago, put a couple of stitches in the adjusting strap and wore it almost every day since. Sun, rain, hail, snow. Threw it in the washing machine when the thought occurred. Over the years it gradually faded from black to grey to pale grey. Met a few new friends who noticed the jump wings, commented, and started a conversation about P Coy, Fat Albert etc. Until, sadly, getting more and more threadbare, eventually it split from front to back and I had to retire my old friend and comrade. Ordered another one the same day. It looks every bit as good quality as my old one. Maybe see you again in another 10 years for my third.”
