This Formlabs Grey Resin Cartridge is compatible with the Form 2 3D printer. Grey resin is the tool of choice for general purpose prototyping with the Form 2. This resin is specially engineered for fine detail and it has an extremely high tensile strength, similar to that of cured ABS plastic. As a result, it’s a great choice of resin for functional prototypes and it lends itself well to any model with moving parts. Printed parts take on a stylish, neutral colour with a matte finish. The final colour is ideal for painting over (the grey acting as a primer) and because of this, many people use grey resin to print end product parts, in addition to prototypes. We have also seen this resin used alongside Formlabs’ clear resin; the two complement one another wonderfully, allowing the user to experiment with geometries, finishing and lighting. Overall, grey resin is an essential tool to have. It’s extremely versatile and it’s the one resin we would have, if given a choice for our Form 2. Buy your 1L Formlabs grey resin cartridge online with GoPrint3D today, and don’t forget to stock up on that clear resin too to experiment with a range of finishes.

Good resin, can froth a little but doesn't affect print other than taking a little longer to drain uncured resin.

Very good resin for prototyping, its very strong and accurate but only if properly cleaned and cured under UV. A big bonus is the plastic works amazingly with super glue.

V3 seems to "froth" more than the earlier resin and doesn't drain off the finished part quite as well. The upshot meaning there is a little more resin wastage and more frequent changes of IPA in the wash tanks, but it's not really a big deal and won't stop me continuing to use the V3 resin
