“Both the Alfred Adult Course and the Hal Leonard Adult Piano Method have their merits and I have successfully taught students to play the piano through them. However one lady really struggled to learn so decided to focus on music theory. She liked the Bastien theory books which although designed for children fit easily in her handbag to work on when she had a few minutes. She so enjoyed the books I decided to introduce her to the Bastien Piano Adult book 1. She really is enjoying it and she says it seems to 'make so much more sense'. When I told her I was going to order another book 1 for a new student she said 'order me book2' so although she won't need it for a while I'm delighted to see her enthusiasm and motivation.”
