“I believe this European signature reed to be an improvement over the Legere ordinary signature reed. It feels flexible and more responsive and the sound quality sounds similar to cane reeds, which may marginally have a warmer tone. The European cut is a bit larger than the slimmer standard Legere reed and it fits the mouthpiece better. While the feel of a synthetic reed does take a little while to adjust to. I currently feel that the benefits of reliability and consistency outweigh the negatives and any perceived difference in sound quality which is minor. My 4 stars reflect that I have not yet had the time to fully test the reed over a period. However, at this stage I am a convert to this brand of synthetic”

“It does all the the company claims but compared to a natural reed is brighter with a slight ‘buzz’. If they could make a reed with more depth of tone that would be ideal.”
