Easy and clear to view and display; universal - I use mine for guitar, ukelele (standard & bass), & violin. There's also a more expensive rechargeable version. I recommend this to all my students.

This is an excellent little tuner - universal - I use mine for violin, guitar, ukes & bass uke! Easy to use and very clear to see display and whether string is in tune, sharp or flat, and bonus is that it shows clearly when you've turned it off, so no wasted battery! I recommend this to all my students over the pricier Snark (&, in my past experience of two within 18 months).

I have one of these tuners and am recommending them to my students. The tuner has multiple instrument use (mine tunes guitars, ukuleles [standard & bass tuning] and a violin, & it effectively tunes all. It works on vibrations so that any background noise doesn't effect it. It runs on a *2025 cell battery, which comes supplied. The display and function are very clear, and it's easy to tell if you've turned it off properly. *There is the option, of a more expensive model, than can be USB charged. The head tilts back & forth, as well as side to side, so it's easy to view and tune whilst you're playing. Overall, so far (I've had mine for several months now), I am very pleased with this tuner. It is cheaper than the Snark, of which I had two in 18 months, both which just stopped working (as did one belonging to one of my students); I am recommending these now, so I hope they last longer than the aforementioned brand!

Having used a different, more expensive tuner (circular & rhymes with 'shark'!) - two in two years, and having recommended these toy students!) I decided enough was enough; I did some research, and spoke to a knowledgeable member of the wonderful Ackerman team, I went for this tuner. So far, I'm very pleased with mine and this one was bought on behalf of a student. The display is clear and it's easy to use; there's a clear indication that you have turned it off, which helps to preserve the battery. It works on my guitars, ukulekes and my violin, with the head both swivelling around and forwards for easy vision, whichever instrument. There is a more expensive, rechargeable version, too.

I've previously used Snark tuners, but, having had two in 18 months, I decided it was time to try something else. After research and a recommendation, I also contacted Ackerman, whose knowledgeable customer services member also confirmed the D'Addario Eclipse's suitability and known reliability, so I ordered straight away. I haven't been disappointed - it has a swivel head so it can be easily viewed, clear display which is easy to read to sharp, flat, or spot on, plus clearly shows when you have turned it off. It is great value for money and 5☆
