“I didn’t use this arrangement, as there were too many irritating editorial changes/decisions. - why put the bass line in leaping octaves, not repeated notes? - why give the oboe sections to the violin, instead of exploiting the timbral contrast of the two instruments? - why not use textures more akin to a baroque continuo? In the end, I played from an organ score, leaving the RH part to the violin. And adapted the rest on the hoof.”
