This Consort book is highly recommended for intermediate recorder players. The first pieces are very good warm-up pieces - descant, treble and tenor - to unite the group. Then the basses are introduced to provide the low ground notes and everyone relaxes into their parts. The music scores are very clear to read and so the book can easily be shared. Several of the pieces involve time changes as well as accidentals and trills. This makes for a most satisfying sound and provides a real sense of achievement for the players.

We've enjoyed playing from this book and have since gone on to buy others he subsequently compiled.
