“I ordered this item for a special birthday. Placed the order in August to make sure it came in time as it was a special order. It was nearly 4 weeks from my order and I hadn’t had any updates on delivery from being informed it was in the depot. I emailed the customer service team to try and help locate my item only to discover it had been damaged by the courier in transit. I am very disappointed that I had to email customer services to be informed of this. The item had been sitting in the depot for 12 days. If I had of been informed sooner, I might have been able to get a replacement in time for my friends birthday. Unfortunately there wasn’t enough time. I am also very disappointed that the customer service team didn’t try and push through a replacement order so it could be processed and delivered by the date I needed it for but there wasn’t any offer given other than a very generic ‘we understand your frustration’ which they obviously didn’t or they would have been more helpful. The response time from the customer service team could be improved it made the whole process a lot more lengthy/frustrating when I didn’t get a response for 24 hours between each email. I have ordered multiple pieces from Abbot Lyon in the past but my experience this time wasn’t good and I’ll be hesitant to order in future.”
