“Bought this to replace my 50 year old New Home machine. I absolutely love it, especially the needle threader. Also love the top loading bobin and the computerised settings. Though I don't think I will ever get used to sewing without a foot peddle, but it's nice to have the option. I plan to use it to make clothes and soft furnishings, so am not too interested in the embroidery stitches, but it's nice to have them.”

“Early days but seems to be a good machine, light and easy to use. Top and bottom spools seem unnecessarily fiddly to thread. Case is only a top only cover and can't be put on without removing top spool thread. Haven't found correct tension for zig zag yet, in spite of following instructions, but that will come with trial and error and experimentation, I guess.”

“I was anxious about buying a computerised machine although have used sewing machines before, but I am thrilled with the Janome 230DC that I bought after a lot of research. I am loving getting to know my new machine on my patchwork & quilting course. Delighted with my choice of machine and the brilliant service received from the Sewing Studio.”
