“This was an extravagance that I don't regret. Having had a brother for thirty years I thought i should have a airthread to future proof for arthritic fingers. I could have bought a Janome and been happy. This machine is in a different league. Just so satisfying to use. Cutting distance from needles can be altered which is so useful to avoid cutting edges of trims etc. Thread post lifts out to store. Cons are the size (it's a heavy beast that doesnt fit the Bernina overlocker carry case) and of course the price.”

“Fabulous machine. Wish I’d treated myself years ago instead of struggling with cheaper overlockers. Made a silk camisole first. So easy. Neatened all seams as silk does fray badly. So single thickness silk, 4 thread overlock, no adjustments, just did it with ease. No slipping, no puckering, bliss! Just made stretch trousers 90% sewn with the overlocker. Again, no adjustments needed and sewn with ease thanks to the incredible level of control it affords. The needle down option is super useful. Using the knee lift permanently as it makes it so simple to manipulate fabric round curves etc. I really love this machine and would highly recommend it. This isn’t really suitable for new sewers though, I think you need to be experienced to get the full benefit. If I had to moan? Only that the instruction book isn’t that great. It’s ok but that’s all. Also this arrived the next day, a day earlier than I expected. Great service from The Sewing Studio.”
