There is so much to lear on this machine. Whilst it does not have the throat space of the V 2 it is an amazing machine for the price.

This machine is so easy to use. The instruction manual is excellent. I love the tie off function, needle up/down and the thread cutter which I didn't have on my previous brother. Along with the extra space it has made my quilting so much easier. I have used a lot of the fancy stitches on practice pieces but not yet on a completed quilt. It came with quite a few different feet and an extension table great for larger pieces. I am still in the process of learning everything it can do as I have only had it since July 2nd. I can't wait to learn lots of new things, in short I just love it.

This is the first time I have used a computerised sewing machine as my former machine was a Janome 7025. This Brother machine came with a lot of accessories, particularly a walking foot, and a very comprehensive user manual, as well as a quick start guide. I’ve only been using it for 2 weeks but already I love it and it has allowed me to improve my sewing skills. For instance, I make patchwork quilts and the 1/4 inch seam allowance foot is so useful. The needle threader is straightforward. Being able to use a foot pedal, or not, is also a good feature. The programming of various stitches is easy to use and I have been able to quickly and easily practise some of the more decorative stitches. It will take a while to explore all this machine can do, and because it’s been so easy to use so far, I look forward to it.
