As a member of Big in Japan, The Slits and, most famously, Siouxsie and The Banshees and The Creatures, 'Budgie' was an era-defining drummer in the much-mythologised post punk scene of the late 1970s and early 1980s.
'The Absence had me trawling through 50 years of diaries, photographs, notes, and drawings. Some drawings made it into the book, the drawings on the six postcards come from before and after Siouxsie and The Banshees. The t-shirt carries a crazed drumming bird with a halo!' - (Budgie, Berlin, 2025)
