What size are the marine magnesium capsules? I take saffrosun, are they about the same size?
Asked by Jane (1 year ago)
Hi Jane, The capsules are exactly the same size. Remember that all our capsules can be easily twisted open and added to food, etc.

if you take both the magnesium supplement and use magresium salts in the bath can you over dose? what symptoms would I be looking for if I was overdosing?
Asked by tigertravel (2 years ago)
Thank you for your message. The best way around this is to make sure that the magnesium you absorb is from natural sources. Taking our magnesium and also having an epsom salt bath is absolutely fine. People are typically deficient in Magnesium, so overdose from natural sources is rare, as your body will absorb and use what it needs - with your kidneys excreting any excess. If you do have too much magnesium you will first notice the effect on your gut (loose bowel motions), feeling sick and maybe feeling dizzy when standing with weak muscles.

Is there anything you could recommend to support low thyroid function
Asked by Deb (2 years ago)
Hi Deb, I recommend Saffrosun with Marine Minerals. This is a saffron supplement that works in the gut to help balance serotonin production which has a settling effect on the nervous system whilst promoting restful sleep, fighting fatigue and supporting digestive and immune health. It has vitamin D3, an organic prebiotic called baobab and Marine Minerals source of Iodine for additional support for energy release and metabolism. The Iodine contained in this supplement can support thyroid function. The dose of this is 2 capsules in the morning with breakfast. As this formulation contains iodine it should not be used if taking any other iodine supplements and it is not suitable for those with an overactive thyroid gland. It is suitable for those with an underactive thyroid gland who may be receiving thyroxine therapy. https://www.thenakedpharmacy.com/products/saffrosun-marine-minerals

Hi I’m 59 and Suffering from terrible sleep... haven’t slept through the night for over ten years! Now I wake very hot every hour or so it’s exhausting. Can you recommend any of your products which may help with hot flushes giving disturbed sleep thanks
Asked by Jane voke (3 years ago)
Hello, I can recommend Saffrosun with Marine Minerals to help restoring emotional balance while promoting restful sleep. This supplement works in the gut to balance serotonin. It also contains vitamin D3 (2 capsules contain 10mcg which is the recommended daily intake according to the NHS) for immune defence and mood, iodine from organic seaweed to support energy utilisation and a prebiotic called Baobab for gut health. The dose is 2 capsules in the morning after breakfast. I suggest to try it for a period of 1 month, you will notice a difference within 5-6 days. We don’t advise it for anyone with an overactive thyroid (due to the iodine) and taking any iodine containing supplements. I can also recommend Menoforce to help with night sweats and hot flushes. This supplement contains sage extract obtained by freshly harvested, organically cultivated plants. You can take one tablet daily. Please note, we don’t advise to use this supplement if you are allergic to sage herb or if you have a rare condition making you intolerant to some sugars such as fructose intolerance , glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrose-isomaltase insufficiency.
