About Stringers Music:

Stringers of Edinburgh is one of Scotland’s longest established and most respected musical instrument dealers. We supply violins, violas, cellos and bows of all levels and offer the highest standard in repair and restoration. Stringers London opened in 2007 and over the past thirteen years has grown to become one of London's leading violin dealers. In both shops, all of our staff members are proficient string players, many are former or current teachers, and always happy to help and advise. All instruments are set up by our team of expert restorers in our on-site workshops and played and assessed by staff before going on sale.

“Many thanks for your very helpful advice and allowing me to try out a selection of your Cello bows recently. I very much appreciated the time I was able to take in trying a few bows in the studio upstairs before selecting a bow to take out on trial. I enjoyed trying the bow I selected which I did consider carefully, though I decided not to purchase it at the moment as I am not 100% sure of whether I wish to purchase another bow yet and I would possibly like to try others out another time to compare differences. I also felt the bow was quite heavy in the upper half for me. Thanks again for all of your patience, help and time, particularly in assisting me with my Stagg bow rehair and offering to bring it to Glasgow when it is ready!”
