About Stringers Music:

Stringers of Edinburgh is one of Scotland’s longest established and most respected musical instrument dealers. We supply violins, violas, cellos and bows of all levels and offer the highest standard in repair and restoration. Stringers London opened in 2007 and over the past thirteen years has grown to become one of London's leading violin dealers. In both shops, all of our staff members are proficient string players, many are former or current teachers, and always happy to help and advise. All instruments are set up by our team of expert restorers in our on-site workshops and played and assessed by staff before going on sale.

“I went to Stringers to buy a Cello Case. I was met with a smile from a very patient employee who assisted me with making a decision about which of the many cases to buy. I was able to open each case and fully inspect which case would best suit my cello. Staff very professional a pleasure to deal with.”

“The Stringers website was really easy to navigate and I was quickly able to find the product I was looking for, at the cheapest price I had found. Even better for me, I was able to make a further saving by signing up for an account and unlike many retailers, the points gained for signing up were instantly-redeemable. I chose regular delivery but still received my item the very next day. Tracking information was provided and the item was well-packed. “I wanted to purchase a violin and had shopped online from home in USA. I discovered the Stringers and planned to explore further when visiting Edinburgh. The service was excellent. It was very nice to discuss my interest with a violinist(Virginia) who also teaches. She didn't express surprise at my interest in learning despite my almost seventy years of age. I purchased a "Superior" outfit before returning home. The service was excellent during that first visit and in every subsequent interaction. Highly recommend Stringers for in-person or online service.”

“Wonderful experience with Stringers. I bought a cello made in 1880-1890 and love it! They let me trial the instrument for a week and were nice to work with through the whole process. Highly recommend.”
