About Spicentice:

Back in 1994 when founder, Ketan Varu, was at university, his mum sent him recipes and spices to make real Indian curries that would remind him of home. Pretty soon all his friends were hooked and the idea for Spicentice was born.

All these years later Spicentice is very much a family business (with mum, Manjula, and dad, Ramnik, still making sure Ketan eats a good lunch!) and the range has grown to include Indian, Thai, Mexican, Portuguese, Cajun, Jamaican and Moroccan spice kits, along with handy tubs of herb & spice rubs.

Spicentice stands out from the crowd because of its commitment to traditional recipes that have been perfected over generations, with 100% pure herbs & spices, no waste and absolutely no nasties! Ketan now has a young family of his own and continues the tradition of cooking and sharing meals with family and friends.

“I ordered the world hottest curry gift box and the Carolina reaper chilli challenge as a gift for my curry loving brother in law, only to open the box and find I hadn't been sent the hottest curry collection, it's a good job I checked before handing over the gift !! Not a good introduction to the Spicentice range”

“I love this company. It's excellent. I love the vindaloo, gourmet wedges spice and the gourmet burger spices are to die for. I got the lamb madras spices and followed the instructions a bit. I used it as it says in the instructions however I didn't use diced lamb. I used two whole lamb shanks, covered with tin foil in an oven tray and cooked on a low heat for a long time in the oven. The lamb fell off the bone and the spices were delicious. I'm so glad I found this company. Thank you so much.”

“What has happened? Been using these curry’s for years, recent purchase’s terrible. Curries used to be full of flavour with authentic ingredients, now they are just tasteless & too full of heat. Really saddened”

“What a wonderful product you are offering. Quick tasty and easy preparation of meals to make. Unfortunately part of my first order got missed but after contacting you to rectify the matter i am happy with the outcome so much so have give address of our local farm shop that may be interested in stocking your products. I would like to see spices available in jars for remaking several Katsu curries as that is my husbands favourite so far.”
