About Spicentice:

Back in 1994 when founder, Ketan Varu, was at university, his mum sent him recipes and spices to make real Indian curries that would remind him of home. Pretty soon all his friends were hooked and the idea for Spicentice was born.

All these years later Spicentice is very much a family business (with mum, Manjula, and dad, Ramnik, still making sure Ketan eats a good lunch!) and the range has grown to include Indian, Thai, Mexican, Portuguese, Cajun, Jamaican and Moroccan spice kits, along with handy tubs of herb & spice rubs.

Spicentice stands out from the crowd because of its commitment to traditional recipes that have been perfected over generations, with 100% pure herbs & spices, no waste and absolutely no nasties! Ketan now has a young family of his own and continues the tradition of cooking and sharing meals with family and friends.

“We have been buying 'the world's hottest' range for a couple of years now. The flavour of them is amazing, too hot for me...but I keep going back for more! Really good if you love a hot curry.”

“all turned up fairly quickly - however the Vindaloo kit only had one bag of spice in it ? I assume it should have been like the other kits with 2 bags / one bag of herbs ? I have emailed them and await a response --- difficult to find an email addtess to use, so responded to one of their emails to me - perhaps that may work ?”

“I consider myself a hardened spicy food guy, I can easily handle a resturant cooked phall and I am now at the stage where I am forced to scour the internet for a reasonabley spiced curry. I thought Spentice curries were a tad expensive but bought them out of my passion for the burn. I have just finished the Vindaloo and wow! That is hot! I can barely finish it due to the heat. I have been brought down to Earth from the man I thought I was by these spices but will continue to work my way up to the Carolina Reaper. Absolutely delicious! I see there is a option to upload a photo but Im sure nobody wants to see my sweaty forehead hovering over a nearly eaten curry. Top product and I will buy again.”

“Excellent service and quick deliver the way they are package makes them good to gift to family and friends. Used the first one yesterday for meat balls and the recipe and directions for use are easy to use. Much easier that having to source loads of herbs and spices that end up in the bin. “First order and I was promised a £15 free curry kit. When I had mad the order I noticed there was no curry kit included. I told you and as an afterthoughthough your products look good. Theres nothing like a bit of customer servicet you included a £4 masala kit don't think i'll be coming back even”

“I ordered everything I needed, straight forward and easy to do so. I missed out on the promotion by not selecting enough to meet the criteria but I was please to see that the additional ingredient had been included. Thank you. I enjoy making my curries from scratch using the spicentice spices.”
