Like the razor but disappointed it didn't come with a blade. I know it says in big letters but I missed this. Thankfully my wife had a spare.

Thanks for the product feedback and sorry you regret your purchase! I can see that you've experienced product degradation so soon. This is due to long exposure to a super wet environment. After drying your razor, it's really important to store in a dry environment. If exposed to water too long, your razor can degrade. Painted products can chip easily, metals can get weaker and blades can blunt. After rinsing, carefully take your razor apart, wipe away any hair and grime, and gently pat dry each piece. Assemble it again. Store your razor in a stand or sturdy travel bag, away from the bathroom. Or store in a tightly sealed cupboard in the bathroom. This should help! Take care :)

I used the soap and the shaver kit in the shower and still got a couple mostly painless cuts on my legs. Is there a tutorial on how to use it? I’m pretty sure I inserted the blade right and used it right. I went with the direction of the hair. It gives a fairly close shave (not the closest I’ve ever had) but is good in its sustainability initiative. Overall, I think the product needs improving for me to buy the refill blades again

Hi Charlotte, You can find our Ultimate Shaving Guide on the main navigation on our website. The guide was also emailed to you: https://www.shorelineshaving.com/pages/ultimate-safety-razor-shaving-guide You're transitioning to a safety razor so it's likely you're applying pressure, which you shouldn't do. This will result in nicks and cuts. Let the weight of the razor do the work. Also find the right angle. A 30 degree angle and short slow strokes while you start out. This will give you a much closer shave. Keep shaving with the grain until you feel confident enough to go against it. Take care, Dean

Hi Peter, I wish you'd contacted us before posting a damning review of a product. We're a small business, so every review counts! You say yourself that you probably don't know how to use a safety razor and I'm wondering if it's set up correctly. You may have the bottom plate upside down. Please double check. The key to shaving with a safety razor is to start gentle, using slow and small strokes until you feel confident. Do not apply any pressure and let the the weight of the razor do the work. It's all about mastering the technique. People transitioning from multi-blade cartridge razors have this problem, as the techniques are so different. Cartridges pull and tug the hair, so pressure is applied to help the process. You don't do this with safety razors, as the blade is much sharper. To shave, moisten the shaving area, using a well lathered natural shaving soap, oil or gel if preferred. Hold the razor at a shallow angle to the skin. 45 degrees is advised. Do NOT apply pressure - hold the handle gently and let the weight of the razor head glide over the skin. Shave in the direction of hair growth to start with and then go against the grain once you are used to it. I hope this helps and you don't bin your razor. It's an amazing product when you learn how to use it. Take care, Dean

Excellent stand and holder for used blades arrived very quickly, but the blades, ordered as part of the subscription were missing

This razor definitely has some benefits- you can’t even feel it as it glides over your skin & it is very good for leg hair and armpit hair- it is almost as close as a wax. However I have given it 3 stars as it has given me even worse razor rash than my old plastic razors when using it on my bikini line, and I think it’s important for others to know that you would still need a different hair removal method for down there. I will continue to use the razor for my legs & armpits as I do like the eco element of this razor.

I loved the presentation of the product. The delivery took longer than stated and there was little communication about its whereabouts.
