“I’ve been pondering what to write about Rounton Coffee, frankly I get sick of people asking for reviews as the number of requests seems inversely proportion to the quality of service/product and everyone is rightly suspicious of excessively glowing reviews anyway. But what the heck, they deserve it. Best coffee I have come across ever, and I travel a fair bit with my job. Particularly because they don’t over roast, which means that with my current obsession with cold brewing, I get oodles of lovely flavour, not a blast wave of burnt, which is usually the case even with people claiming to be speciality roasters.
My daily hit of cold brew (and microwave, I’m not mad) is actually so good I drink far less coffee out and about now, I am too often disappointed. I have also been able to isolate my preference for African coffees, which previously I hadn’t spotted.
So yes it’s turned into one of those suspiciously glowing reviews, but for once it’s justified, that’s not to say everything is perfect the website changeover was pretty disastrous, but hey, given the choice I’d rather they got the coffee right than have a slick “experience” with a naff product.
Try them, its worth it, and if you’re still not sure try cold brewing against your preferred competitor, I did (and continue to do so whenever I come across someone new) and have decided the difference is so stark it’s worth a small essay to help anyone undecided take the plunge.”
