“At first, I was nervous about setting up my account and transfering a bunch of other personal pensions into my SIPP. However, over time and following my first withdrawal, I now see all is good. Service is great with prompt responses. All is good, so far and I am pleased with being able to manage my investments and see the actual charges being applied.”
“So far, so good! Ex-pat Brit now dual citizenship in Canada. MES made it very easy to open up an account, and manage my SIPP assets in the UK. I've only had cause to call them on a few occasions, and the phone is always answered by a human being, who has proven helpful and efficient.”
“The support team have been very responsive and helpful with all of my questions, recently helping me through the process of starting to take pension withdrawals. It was really helpful to be able to schedule call backs through the platform and actually talk to a support agent. A great experience right from when I first transferred into the this SIPP (~4 years ago), to now starting to take pension withdrawals.”
“After dealing with a year of endless red tape designed to protect against scams, being locked into an appalling scheme and being unable to talk directly with Prudential to release my funds to MyExpatSIPP, I now breathe easier, can transfer and invest how I like, can speak to curtious people and get money transferred to the US with no delay. The staff are helpful polite and communicative. I have my sense of control and trust back. Thank you so much MyExpatSIPP for trailblazing a great solution for expats who truly need your help!”
“Tanjil & team were absolutely fantastic! They held my hand throughout the process, and took away the stress! They are dilligent in ensuring effective transfer, and the platform is user-friendly.”
“I opened a SIPP with MES to bring a number of smaller UK pensions I had under one roof, and to have control over the investments at a cheaper pricepoint than I was previously getting. MES handled the transfers very smoothly and I have found them to be very professional and competent; absolutely no complaints. If there are non-ETF funds that they do not currently support on their platform, no problem; make them aware of the funds you are interested in a few weeks before you want to invest so that they can get them added to their platform. Should have done this years ago.”
“For UK pension fund holders who “suddenly” find themselves living permanently overseas, navigating the hoops of avoiding double taxation can be a real challenge. MyExpatSIPP does an outstanding job of informing one and, where necessary, guiding one to make one’s own financial choices in an informed way. I can't recommend the company highly enough for their customer care alone. There is nothing like having a real live person on the other end of the phone — especially when they are as helpful and patient as these chaps!”
“MES has been very supportive with the amalgamation of various Plans and to ensure a seemless transfer process. Their on-line portal is superior to other Plans I have been dealing with”
“Overall, I am very pleased wtih MyExpatSIPP. The very good news is, as a US resident, I can hold my account in and have a base ccy as USD. I can also choose my own investments as opposed to paying high fees for a managed account.
The less good news is the account is relatively expensive to maintain. 35bp charge on assets, £425 annual fee, £100 to make a payment out of the account. If you want to trade equities in the account, the brokers will charge you around 15bp above market price.
If you want to make a payment out of the account, you have to wait till Thursdays.
So not perfect by any stretch but compared to any other alternative I've seen, you don't need to get a financial advisor or money manager involved which could cost 3% of your assets the first year and significant fees thereafter.”
“MyExpatSIPP were the only provider I found who were willing to help move my pension from a Gibralter QROPS to a SIPP without another long term and expensive advisory committment. Communication has always been prompt and helpful.”
“Excellent from first to last. I'm impressed with the ease with which a brilliant service has been given. I was totally lost with UK pension (?) firms whilst designated a UK expat, and left to flounder in the sea of absolute nonsense beauracracy. I'm reaching 55 and was given the total runaround by some schemes. I thought legislation was there to protect all UK citizens. What's up UK? Can't be happier to find MES. Thanks, you've been blooming marvelous.”
“My previous pension provider did every possible to procastinate on withdrawal money and did nothing to help an Expat. MyExpatSIPP is 100 times quicker. It took 10 minutes to fill in one webform to request a withdrawal on Friday and next Friday my money is in my US bank account.
MyExpatSIPP answers email questions immediately, and real people answer the phone. It took less of my time to do the entire withdrawal wih MyExpatSIPP than it took to get through to a person with my previous provider for the first of endless calls, and it took them 3 months to get me my money to a UK bank account.”
“Having worked in both the UK and USA and accumulated personal pensions in both, I was at a loss to how I might safely transfer Uk money to the USA. Myexpat have been excellent to work with and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone in a similar situation.”
“Everyone at MyExpatSipp have been helpful from the outset. I can't praise their efforts enough! David, Joe and Jade demonstrated the utmost professionalism even when I was a pain asking many questions but I always received a timely response. Such a refreshing change! I would strongly recommend this company if you want peace of mind.”
“I love the product. Great choice of stocks and etfs, and they’re quick at adding to their platform whatever stock or fund you want to consider buying. Execution is quick, communication is great and the overall product is good value for money. Better, and with much less paperwork involved compared to some other SIPPs. I moved from another SIPP to this one and I’m happy I did.”
