“Seemed a little expensive for what was received electronically, particularly when it can’t be used to scale if printed personally, you have to pay a further £10 for a printed copy.”
“I went to the site to get information about a title deed and paid £24 but the information I recieved was the same as I got from the HM land register for £7 and the information was inadequate.
I paid a further £24 to get the title plan but that information was useless as well.
The site gives the options but the details associated is very inadequate hence customers end up spending more for very little.
I need the title deed which gives me details of the restrictive covenant on the property which none of the above provided”
Hi Sapna,
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
Please note that there is a key difference between the 2 documents. At the time of writing, as a general member of the public you are only able obtain a non-certified copy of the deeds directly with Gov.uk. In order to access certified, official copies, you are able to obtain these directly via post with Gov.uk, or via a 3rd party, such as ourselves.
The key difference between the 2 documents is that the certified copies are treated as evidence of ownership in court and in property transactions (e.g., buying/selling a house).
We wouldn't recommend also purchasing the non-certified documents, as like you say, they will likely contain the same information, but are only useful for reference but not a substitute for official copies in legal contexts.
We hope that you found our service easy to use, quick and efficient.
