“Their best feature is having a wide open pommel allowing for maximum shoulder freedom. Their panels fit like a compact panel fitting those shorter backs also allowing them to be fitted to more horses. We find they fit medium wide to 2 extra wide well but struggle with the medium withered horses (where they tend to have more wither length). They are easy to adjust.
The only negative is they need a deeper back gusset or maybe more flocking as they flatten and compress easily and lose support.”
“I have a young Friesian Sporthorse, and decided the only way to eliminate the constant saddle fitting/purchase merry-go-round was to go with an exchangable gullet plate. “Bought an anatomical girth elasticated at both ends. Good quality but my horse finds it a bit hard so I keep feeding it and feel sure it will soften up. Love the strategically placed d rings. Don't like the green elastic though as shows below the saddle flaps. Buckles are good and don't splay about.”
