“Do not use this company. Convinced me to make a complaint against St James Place stating that it would be resolved in 12 - 16 weeks. 10 months later and still nothing. AMK state that they cannot hurry the process along so what on earth are we getting for the 40% + vat fee they are charging? Perhaps another law firm will start taking customer complaints about AMK and attempt to recover some of this fee. Completely useless.”
“This company are ruining SJP practices (who are small business owners!) by encouraging absolute chancers who knew the fees when they signed up.
This company take 48% commission so you’re ruining livelihoods to then give nearly half of any payout due to them.
It’s the PPI scandal all over again but this time it’s targeting small businesses.
It’s not SJP you are damaging it’s the partners and their families. Maybe a small child won’t get to eat this month because you put a chance complaint in just because of a Facebook ad.”

“it seems that AMK have actually given me less than 50% of the settlement they obtained on my behalf. i was told their fee was 40% then there is VAT of course but all that comes to less than 50% surely? I feel that l have been conned, not happy at all”

“Very keen initially to take my Pension advisor / Company to task, a long explanation of the reasons why i should allow them to investigate with a possible promising outcome.
Now i have received a brief, poor email saying my advisor can explain himself whilst ruining a working relationship i had with a local company. Chased Simon Motley for over a week by phone , email, for a discussion only to have to keep chasing for a one line email response. Unless the outcome is easily achieved do not waste your time.”
“I thought AMK legal had a great business idea however when I tried to use it there were a few things that were not quite right.
Internet form was fine as the follow up call was in a timely manner.
Then followed the qualifier call which was also fine
The online form sent in with Terms of Conditions subsequent to that wasn't readable so I asked for an alternative one. This is where things went wrong. They couldn't provide me with an alternative document to read before signing it electronically. I was called up again and I explained what I needed before signing but they said to sign it before downloading it to read and to use the cooling off period as a get out. NO NO NO. Everyone they do business with needs to understand you read a document BEFORE signing it, not afterwards.
Then there was pressure out on again to sign the same form I couldn't read. Again, no. So unfortunately I have had to abandon the process.
I also understood from the call that customer are signing documents while they are on the phone. Guys - remember read first, then sign.
Very disappointed. also the fees are quite high even though they are taken out of the proceeds but that ended up being immaterial anyway.”
“Company give you the impression of obtaining you a high amount of returns when actually the return is small and something you could obtain yourself..
their charges are ridiculous they take half of your return and tell you that 50% of something is 50% of nothing.. their is company’s that will do the same for far less.. shop around..”
