“Personally I found the experience hit and miss. I did both English and maths. One was better than the other. I found the administration equally hit and miss. One person was polite, the other not wanting to be accommodating. Lots of detail behind this review which I've won't get into. But I decided to leave in the end as I did hope for a better service. Find out for yourself. But I did try to express my frustrations but they were not listened to.”

“Great teaching and well organised. I however think that the tutors should take time to find out which topics my child is currently being taught at school and assist with this, rather than to teach randomly picked topics.”

“We recently moved back to the UK from overseas, and VAKS has been very supportive in helping our children adjust to the British curriculum. I am very impressed with the way that VAKS tailors its online tutoring to the needs and abilities of the children in real time, and with small class sizes. It feels like an actual partnership between parents and VAKS. We started the children on Maths and English and will be adding to that at the right time.”

“My child is studying for 11+ with VAKS. He enjoys the group learning and discourse as well as the structure of the lessons. His 2 hour session on a Saturday morning is something that he looks forward to.”

“We were really impressed with Vaks. We had online maths tutoring for my son in the couple of years before his 11+ and it really made all the difference. The tutor was professional, engaging and really knew her stuff. She also created a safe and supportive environment for my son and the other children in the group to learn positively and collaboratively. My son - who was lacking in confidence in maths before we signed up to Vaks - is now much more confident with his maths skills and is even looking forward to maths at secondary school now!”

“When the school close .I was so worried about My daughter education and mental wellbeing Thankfully VAKS have made this time a little easier by offering on line lesson via zoom ,which work really well and my daughter really enjoy and looked forward to attend . The quality of tuition is very high and I am impressed with the VAKS team.”

“My Daughter started with Vaks earlier this year and she thoroughly enjoys the sessions. Due to the Coronvirus outbreak the sessions had to be put on hold. Vaks quickly put together an online lesson via Zoom which has worked brilliantly. The communication and tutors has been outstanding......and even when we have forgotten to log on to the session I quickly got a text asking where my daughter was. “Thank you so much to the team at Vaks for moving so quickly to address the challenge of continuing to support my children and all their other students during the Covid-19 crisis. It wasn’t easy to meet all the different needs presented by differing schools approaches during this time. But a timetable was out very quickly, including consultation time with parents. The zoom tutorials work really well and my children really enjoy participating. It’s great that they can still have their lessons and I can feel there’s a helping hand during this learning at home period of our lives.”

“The quality of tuition is very high. The program is very good for progress and support. Our son has made an incredible progress in English. He started year 2 with no English (English is his second language), we joined VAKs as he was really struggling in Year 5 and in year 6 he was top of the class. We are going to be back for GSCE course in a couple of years or maybe even earlier. Maths teaching is also incredible.”
