We also sell Chabad wool tzitzit from other manufacturers, so we are very familiar with the differences. To the best of our knowledge, this is the only model with corners made from completely pure silk, while many products from other companies that are described as “silk” are actually made from blended or synthetic materials. Therefore, it may be that because you are accustomed to the look and feel of those materials, when you encountered genuine silk, it appeared synthetic to you.

Regarding the color change after washing it may have happened after the strings were placed in a washing machine. It is also important to note that Radzin Techeiles is significantly less expensive than other premium Techeiles options, and there may be differences in color durability.
