“For a summer party in the garden the plates and dishes are ideal and I don’t have to wash them up. What’s not to like? They are sturdy and attractive too. I would buy them again.”

Hi Louise, Thank you for your feedback. We do not use any chemicals to alter the natural properties of the leaves, hence there may be a mild woody scent to palm dishes (the smell of dried palm leaves).
