“The mac man said that he could't find the files and therefore could not help. When we got home, my husband was able to find the files and work with them! Problem solved by us.”

Hello Phil. Looking at the notes all I can do is apologise we couldn’t locate the files off your Time Machine back-up as described to us. Can I ask what drive the files were on though in the end please as it appears from the notes one of the external drives was provided without a power lead so I presume it may have been this one. I also see our technician James already halved the fee and only charged you £30 for the assessment but please email me at jon@themac-man.co.uk if this is what you are unhappy with. Hello Catherine, We have tried to contact you but not had a reply - please call our manager Sam direct though on 01892 300999 or email him at sam@themac-man.co.uk. Looking over the notes though I can confirm we need to arrange a courier collection to collect the Mac mini as the although the Mac has been in with us twice now and tested extensively we have not managed to replicate the faults in the workshop. Apologies for the inconvenience of this but it seems to be the only way to get the intermittent fault to happen whilst under our supervision. Regards Jon

“Dan went to some trouble to explain the options and to source a graphics cards as potential replacement for my one which had ceased to function. In the end I bought a brand new iMac through them, although I understand their markup from Apple is purely nominal, and after some enquiries, they were able to confirm I would receive the product just in time before the Christmas closure period. They kindly delivered, too. Good to know I have them as a repair shop nearby and offering a personal service.”

“Repairs fully explained each step of the process so totally assured of the service I was receiving. It was helpful, in particular, to understand what my iMac performance was best capable of after repair and satisfied to know there was substantial life in the "old beast". All reset up and running again faster than before a drop from a height and blank screen.”
