“I wanted a setup to use my camera to digitise my old negatives. The Flash Centre had everything I needed and I found items easily on their website. Ordering was easy and I was delighted to receive my goods within 48h.”

“Placed an order and it wasn't shipped for over a week... It was then marked as expectied by Royal Mail for 3 days. I was issued a refund out of nowhere which then took a further 4 days. No explanation”

Hi, thank you so much for your honest feedback. Whilst it's never nice to read a negative review, it is so important to us to learn about the things that occasionally go wrong, so we can do our best to continually improve and perfect our service. I’ve tried reaching out via email, but haven’t heard back, so I wanted to make sure I closed the loop from our side. After speaking with our warehouse and reviewing the tracking history, it appears Royal Mail returned the parcel to us marked as “rejected by recipient”. From what you described in your review, it sounds like that this wasn’t actually the case. Our warehouse unfortunately took that status at face value and assumed the return had been requested, so the order was refunded once the parcel came back to us. In hindsight, we should have contacted you to double check before issuing the refund, and I’m sorry that didn’t happen. We’re still relatively new to offering Royal Mail as a delivery option (we've been exclusively UPS for years but had been getting quite a few customer requests for Royal Mail also, so now we offer both), so this has been a useful learning experience for us and something we’ll be keeping a closer eye on in future. “Great value for money, would highly recommend TFC (they need to advise RoyalMail guys not to leave the parcel outside the door, that too in rain as happened in my case & it could have been stolen...)”

If you happened to take a photo of how the parcel was left, please feel free to send it over and we’ll happily raise this with Royal Mail. Unfortunately, once a parcel is with the courier, we don’t have direct control over how individual deliveries are handled, even when delivery instructions are provided. Thankfully, situations like this are quite rare, but we completely understand how frustrating it can be when they do occur. What we can control is how we look after our customers. “The item I purchased was accurately described on your website, the order process was quick and easy, and the price (which was reduced) was cheaper than that other well known online (box shifter) companyr, that most people order from. Delivery was Royal Mail 48 hours, however I had to wait an additional 24 hours, as I placed my order on a Friday.”
