About Regal Autosport:

Originally, Regal Autosport International (Limited) started life as “Regal Car Engineers” in 1988 and later changed to its current name after business growth lead to working with more businesses internationally.

Fast forward to today and Regal Autosport has evolved to specialise in the maintenance, repair and upgrading of European cars such as Audi, Bentley, BMW, Lamborghini, Land Rover, McLaren, Mercedes, Porsche and Volkswagen.

The most notable builds during this period include the supercharging of numerous Audi R8 V8, R8 V10, Lamborghini Gallardo and the UK’s first Supercharged Huracan. We also bought our own in house Huracan to supercharge as a demo vehicle.

“Was very disappointed after paying the £168 pounds to have the fault diagnosed on your system was then charged another £640 parts and labour to rectify the issues. This did not cure the problem was then told it would be another £2000 or an illegal remapping of my adblue system at this point I reluctantly paid what was owed and collected my car.”

To clarify the steps we took in diagnosing and attempting to resolve the complex issues with your vehicle. Comprehensive Diagnostics & Transparent Communication Your Jaguar XE was initially booked in with us due to an AdBlue system warning that had not cleared despite topping up the fluid. During our investigation, a full diagnostic scan revealed multiple engine control faults, particularly those related to the NOx emissions system and AdBlue injection. This type of issue is, unfortunately, common in diesel vehicles with emissions treatment systems and often involves several interrelated components. We provided a detailed explanation of the findings, which included: - Permanent NOx exceedance faults - A partially blocked and leaking when it should be closed AdBlue injector due to crystallised fluid buildup - A suspected faulty AdBlue level sensor At every step, we communicated our findings and obtained your approval before proceeding with each repair phase. This includes the £168 diagnostic fee, which covered the time and resources used in our comprehensive vehicle assessment. Parts and Labour Breakdown Following your approval, we replaced: - The AdBlue injector - Associated components, including bolts and clamps - Injector seals across all cylinders, to address a separate issue (combustion leaving the chamber through the failed sealing of the injector at cylinders 3 and 4) These parts, along with approximately three hours of technician labour, amounted to the £640 invoice. It's important to clarify that when the issue persisted after these repairs, we did not charge you further, but advised that the AdBlue level sensor was likely at fault and could require replacement. You were also explicitly informed that if this did not resolve the issue, additional investigation may be necessary. Illegal Remap Concerns Regarding your mention of an “illegal remapping,” we must stress that at no point did Regal Autosport propose or carry out such an action. Our team adheres strictly to UK road legality and emissions regulations. If any reference was made to remapping as a general industry option, it was presented only for informational purposes—not as a service recommendation from us. Our Commitment We regret that despite our efforts, your vehicle’s issue was not fully resolved within your budget or timeline. These types of diesel system faults can indeed become costly due to the cascading nature of emission-related failures. Our team acted in good faith and followed a logical, step-by-step repair process, always keeping you informed and involved. “Took my BMW in for what I thought was a service because that's what the car was telling me and therefore expecting to pay a small fortune but the guys at Regal were great told me it was just an alert for the MOT which the car passed and which Regal did also, good reception team at drop off and at tehpick up time”
