“LumberJack is a wood flooring company I would wholeheartedly recommend. Jack (Jacek) is a professional with many years of experience in laying wooden floors and you can tell just from the first meeting that he knows his craft. And when it comes to wooden floors, you want to have someone who is a specialist in working with wood. We learned it the hard way after the first company laid our wooden floors too tight and followed a technique of "click-on" laminate. Which is not what you do with wooden floors. The floors were laid too tight and it caused damage to the wood. We were extremely lucky that our friends recommended to us Mr Jacek from LumberJack and he rescued our ground floor! He was very polite and professional and on the first visit assessed the problem due to incompetent floor installation the first time round by the other company. He then told us what could be done to fix it and offered us a quote. I was very impressed as the quote was extremely detailed and showed the breakdown of the price into materials and labour at different stages making it crystal clear where the total quote comes from. We agreed on a date and Kate from LumberJack was very accommodating in rescheduling the start date with us when we were away visiting family. Mr. Jacek and his team were working very hard to fix our floors (which meant taking everything down and starting again). Half of our downstairs is set on wooden joists and half on concrete base, but LumberJack team knew how to approach it straight away. They provided us with a moisture barrier membrane and relayed the floors very professionally and to an impressively high finish, including very nice wooden beading all around and new door trims. I know it might sound silly, but I don't know what other adjective to use - the floors now feel very solid underfoot. Our daughter can run and play on them and the floorboards do not move. Both me and my husband are so impressed with the diligence, attention to detail, cleanliness, knowledge and politeness of Mr. Jacek and his team that from now on he's our only point of contact for wooden flooring and we plan on working with him again when we move house in the future.”
Thank You for Your opinion Stephen! We are sorry to hear that the masking tape left on Your skirting caused damage to the paint when it was removed. We had to cover Your skirting with tape to protect it from mechanical damage. We always recommend not to paint skirting before floor renovation because when paint is "too fresh" things like that may happen. We appreciate your feedback!!
