"I got a kilt and jacket several years ago, for my daughter's wedding. Kilt Society was very responsive and helpful to make sure everything was just right. (photo attached)\r\nMy recent purchase was a pair of Gillie Boots, which I received today. The fit seems to be great and the workmanship appears to be of high quality. As I do with hiking boots, I tie a surgeon's knot at the top eyelets, before the hooks, to keep the boots snug on the feet. One problem though, what do I do above the last hook? It's kind of like my Gille Brogues, but not quite. What is proper for the remaining portion of lace and tassels?"

“I'm very happy to be your customer since 2013, when Kilt Society was called "Buy a Kilt". In the 2013 i bought 2 custom made kilts for me and my best man for my wedding, very good choice! Excellent materials and a great customer care by Rachel. Now i'm going to my friend's wedding with my son aged 1 year( looks like the wedding goes good), obviously with my kilt, and my son has his own with the same kilt pin. “I know this is a men’s site but I actually bought the Inverurie brooch for my mum as It looked quite unique and I knew she wanted something special as a 60th birthday present. “We flew to Edinburgh, to personally visit Kilt Society and where surprised to find out that there actually isn't a shop. Mind you - they don't have a shop in the traditional style, as they usually only trade online - however, they do have a cozy sofa corner, with a little table and extremely helpful staff. The entire business immediately felt very familiar with staff bringing their toddlers and dogs to work – We loved it! Although they normally are an online shop exclusively and therefore obviously not prepared to receive customers in person, Sarah, one of the kind staff there, immediately dropped everything she was doing - and helped us find the right outfit, running countless times between the sofa corner and the warehouse picking everything we asked for, and then a few extra times to get the size right, while at the same time offering coffee and drinks. It took a while as we were looking for a complete outfit and a few extra items. Sarah further assisted us with placing the correct order online and made sure everything arrived in their systems correctly before we left the shop. The entire order was delivered by DPD on time – however the box it was shipped in looked a little dilapidated so we checked everything before signing off – everything was there as it should be! The quality of the Kilt, Jacket and all other accessories leaves nothing to be desired and fit perfectly thanks to the great assistance rendered by the staff. Over all a very pleasant shopping experience and I am sure I will order more stuff from them – after all – Kilts are addictive! P.S.: Please leave ALFIE some exta cookies ;-)”

“I was looking to order a good priced kilt for my young son and stumbled across the Kilt Society website after a few searches. I called up and the lady I spoke to was most helpful and reassured me that careful measuring of my child as requested on the website order page would result in the kilt being made to the right size. Waiting time was 3 - 4 weeks. After 3 weeks I rang to check all was well and sure enough, the kilt was to be ready very shortly. it arrived that week and I had opted to collect in store which I duly did last Friday - all ready for immediate collection, no hassle. I had ordered 2 pairs of socks too. Everything was brilliant, the kilt is nicely made and fits exactly as I expected and a hem had been included as per my special request. We are delighted with the service, the price and the quality of the goods provided by the Kilt Society, thank you very much and would recommend you to others. We'll be back for more when he's grown out of this one!”
