#BritishGas #hive BEWARE OF THIS DANGEROUS OFFER BY THESE COMPANIES. Dangerous! Causes House Fires! Faulty Electric car charger installed that caused a fire at our home. Both companies offer one years FREE EV Car charging when you sign up to this offer. https://www.hivehome.com/.../elec.../alfen-eve-single-s-line The first day this was installed at our home the charger didn't work properly! I reported the fault swiftly! To my horror i was told their is no fault with the charger and it works fine! On top of this i was told i wont be receiving the "ONE YEAR FREE CHARGING" Because of a poor GPS signal in my area? Stating i am foolish for not reading the terms and conditions? I asked for the product to be uninstalled and the brickwork to be repaired (within the cooling off period as it was not fit for purpose) This was declined by the complaints team saying, we are not at liberty do do so theirs nothing wrong with your charger! We will send someone out to inspected this in 2 months time but, I am 99.9% certain that no fault will be found & you will not be entitled to a refund! 6 weeks later the charger sets fire to itself at the mains fuse box in our home causing the damage seen in the pictures! I get back on to the Hive complaints team asking for urgent help after the damage caused to our home! i was promised a call back within one hour, the call never came! later that evening i received an automated response in email (see pictures) They are aware of the fault and will try reconnecting the charger from their internal systems next Monday (6 days later) At this point being to late to contact them again, i tried the following morning asking to speak with JARARD who promised us the call back and would deal with the mater as urgent! I was unable to speak with him & when through the whole problem again with the new advisor! The advisor had already acknowledged the pictures i sent in email last night, yet still felt this was not urgent & didn't require any further action apart from , we will review this in 6 days via our internal system! Baring in mind this same test was performed over 5 weeks ago with no faults showing. So! I asked why they dont consider this an emergency fault after it causing a fire to our home? The response was! It just looks like brown chewing gum stuck to the wiring in your pictures! So informed the customer service rep i was recording this call the reps tone changed somewhat and promised get an engineer to call us ASAP! The 3rd party engineering company did agree to come out the following morning ( 3 days after reporting this) and twice this company refusing to take urgent action saying we will stay with the original agreed appointment for the so called faulty GPS signal. Not the reported electrical fire. The original appointment was for May 7th (2 weeks later) 6 weeks after the so called GPS fault was reported on day 1. Electrician is he now as a write this, He immediately pointed out loose dangerous wiring! Important fuse clamps missing! Not being happy with other wiring in a 2nd installed box and replacing most of this to. The engineer admitting HIVE have acted with negligence, & also saying HIVE are a nightmare for their company and seem to be a "LAW TO THEIR OWN" Completely disagreeing with the lack of solutions & concern for safety offered by HIVE & British Gas! After the repair attempt this remains a NOT WORKING EV CHARGER. The engineer him self sounds like he is almost arguing with HIVE customer service over the phone, saying this is unacceptable for the customer! Yet HIVE still point blank refuse to take any responsibility! The problem continues. We are now using public chargers that cost an absolute fortune far more than petrol or diesel! talk about being mislead by a conservative government trying to help save the planet & saving money! The sole reason for buying an electric car was with the believe of this attractive offer with British gas / Hive & being able to save money long term. I am now left with no alternative but to take the matter to court for negligence. My conclusion on electric cars.. DON'T RISK YOUR SAFETY!

I used there delivery services, but unfortunately the delivery drivers seem to be on trained. I like they just pick them up off of the streets. I also had brief conversations with Dagmara and Thomas who work there in regards to my packages and they were also both extremely rude to me. Wouldn’t suggest this delivery service to any family and friends.

Have used the app since the very early days of Hive, without problem ‘till now that is. Have to close then reopen the app to make a temp’ adjustment to the heating as it will not lock and a message flashes up saying “cannot communicate with hub”. Have deleted and re downloaded the app but it makes no difference. Why mess with what was working perfectly but now doesn’t? Not happy.

Items back-ordered for months, some parts of the order were cancelled without consultation or being given a choice. On the other hand, one package got lost in the mail and I received a replacement, and customer service was relatively quick and efficient once I contacted them.
