I gotta say, this company's products are so expensive compared to the competitors. You can buy Pura D'or system for less than half the price, and it works just as good. I like hairguard pro better because the pura d'or was making my hair poofy... but thats just my personal preference. So far, the products work ok (scalp elixir, shampoo, and conditioner). Its been 3 months and I've seen results, but not as much as I was hoping for. Definitely growth, but still pretty thin. Customer service is great though!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback Will. Sorry to hear that you've not seen huge changes, but we'd encourage you to keep going with it especially as you have seen some improvement - hopefully more will be on the way! Thanks, Hairguard Team
I've been using Minoxidill for almost 2 years and just over a 1 year now I've been using it in conjunction with the Hairguard Pro Package was well as the HairGuard Caffeine shampoo, growband, the derma roller and also 160 mg saw palmetto extract daily on top of it all. I have to admit I do have a fairly stressful life (now who said life ISN'T stressful?), but regardless I've kept every product direction up to speed regularly and I've seen no real improvement. Just the last month or so I've seen more hairfall then probably ever before, which MAY just be shedding but I kinda doubt it. I've experienced some noticeable form of mental circulation improvement from each and every product I mentioned so I know they all do something good but just not enough to actually regrow hair. Maybe stabilize somewhat but that's it. I did double dose on saw palmetto for a while and that seemed to really bother my hormones (mood swings/depression at times/some form of suicidal thoughts/feeling out of this world all of a sudden) but I could just feel hair starting to grow from that so DHT blockers are the purest bet to regrow hair in my opinion, but in addition with the nausea side effect in my case with saw palmetto I couldn't continue using it. If you don't care about your psychological well-being IMO the only way to regrow hair is strong DHT blockers, either high dosage of saw palmetto or of course the pretty much iron clad guaranteed hair regrowth product, finasteride (I've never dared taking it but even half dosage is relatively adequate according to those Austrailian doctors in return slightly less side effects). Using finasteride has really gotten close to me lately but I'm only 24 and have been slowly growing bald since age 17 so I've got a life ahead of me yet and being the conservative kind I believe in Christian families and the potential sexual side effects as well as psychological side effects I just can't get myself to get into it. If I were 40 or 50+ years I'd take a shot at it in a heart beat regardless of some side effects that might come with it. Clearly there's many people that use finasteride perfectly fine. I have friends that use it but they've always got problems growing their families in a natural way. I'm starting to take vasodilators now see if that's gonna make a difference in regrowth (browse natural vasodilators to find a good list of them) . In addition to products I've mentioned I'm also taking Taurine, omega 3, occasional antioxidants like turmeric and vitamin c etc. Drinking lots of water. This is my absolute honest review of my experience thus far, and as far as hairguard customer service goes I can't complain as they're always ready to respond quickly and informatively. Thanks for reading and I hope this can help you in any way shape or form.

I’ve been using Scalp elixir for about 8 months, but I decided to quit for 2 reasons: 1) Didn’t notice any hair growth and it looked like the elixir accelerated hair shedding in my case. 2) The last two times I received the product, its smell was very different which makes believe that the company has been changing their formula. The first bottle I received had a really pleasant apple smell, but the last one (September 2020) had a really foul smell!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We're sorry that you didn't see any positive results from using the Scalp Elixir. It's worth noting that in general when treating hair loss, it does take time to see visible changes and it varies for each individual. With regards to the foul smell, we are extremely sorry about this. Please contact us at 'info@hairguard.com' so that we can provide you with a resolution ASAP. Kind wishes, Hairguard Team
It's early days having only used this product a couple of times so can't report yet on whether or not it can do the job it claims it can. However, on application this product has a quite oppressive smell, like cooking pungent vegetables and it is not particularly pleasant. In fairness though this thankfully does not linger as, if you're following the instructions, you need to leave this on overnight - EVERY night. Of course if it gets results then the smell won't matter!! Watch this space for a follow up review in 6 months time...

Hi Ian, we're really sorry that you're not satisfied with the smell of the Scalp Elixir. We appreciate your feedback, and believe that one of our team has been in discussion with you about this further. If not, please do feel free to get in touch at 'info@hairguard.com'. Thank you, Hairguard Team
The scalp elixir is a decent product, but this company has the worst customer service. I've contacted hairguard numerous times over the course of a couple of weeks with no response.

The instructions on the shampoo were not clear. I'm a daily swimmer, I shampoo my hair every day to get the chlorine out. The instruction on this shampoo bottle says to only shampoo your hair twice a week. That is not possible if you are an athlete. So the shampoo ran out after 3.5 weeks, but was advertised to last 3 months. The instructions should read, if you must shampoo every day, please only use Hair Revolution shampoo twice a week and other shampoo in between. I use the Elixir and hair rinse daily as instructed, and hair feels a lot better and seems to fill in. My hair loss/damage was due to BP medication Amlodipine. I immediately stopped taking it, when I noticed the hair loss. I feel the company should send me a free bottle of shampoo. The other 2 products will last 3 months and I use them daily. I ma only giving this review 3 stars, because the shampoo ran out so soon, and I used very small amount.
