Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Trying to cancel the policy, gave all details to 1st person spoken to, told I was being transferred to the cancellation department! Gave all the same details to the second person spoken to, only to be told I was being transferred again. Finally after an age on hold, I got to speak to a third person who I had to repeat the details to again! Also they cut me off and had to ring me back! I suppose that was a positive that they bothered to call back! I was told there was a 50.00 cancellation fee and 44.31 of other charges that were never really fully justified. Then I was asked to pay this 99.31 and when I said I couldn't pay it there and then she immediately started to tell me that if this amount wasn't paid then Debt Recovery Services would be come involved. At no point did I say I wouldn't pay it but would ring back and pay! It felt very intimidating to be informed of Debt Recovery before I had even had a chance to pay it. Not impressed with this company at all! Lesson learned, I will never use a cheap insurance company in the future, especially this one!

Same as many other people. I have had a terrible experience with Carole Nash. They have an awful business ethic & terrible customer services. Avoid at all cost.

Awful company, add in money after you have taken the policy out and will not let you cancel unless you pay them £100. Customer service is appalling don’t call you back, give you false email addresses. I don’t even think this company is legitimate.

I have tried to access my account with Carole Nash my email address and password keeps showing an error. It's the same email and password I signed up with so now decided to look elsewhere especially reading the latest reviews. Also my car insurance has nearly doubled in price I have an NVQ level 2 plus no convictions or any driving endorsements. Also my age as well I am being penalised for being over 80 years of age with a safe driving record. Avoid this company as their agents won't help either Regards Gloria

An utterly incompetent company who don’t care. Avoid like the plague. 

 My vehicle was insured with them and due for renewal this month. I contacted them on the 9th January to make a small change to my terms and to confirm that my insurance would carry over. Their member confirmed that it would carry over. Thirteen days later I’m out driving and receive an email from them saying that my insurance had now ended. I obviously immediately contacted them to alert them to their error. They basically said that ok we’ll do you another quote because the carry over policy had not been activated. They quoted me £230 more for their error and flatly refused to do anything about it other than raise a complaint ! I asked what was I supposed to do in the meantime, buy a bike ! At this point they offered me nothing, no offer to insure my vehicle for a day so I could legally get home, nothing, ziltch. Imagine the consequences if I’d been involved in an accident, police, possible loss of license, penal insurance penalties for years to come, my insurance would have been nullified leaving me with all the costs. 

 I simply cannot tell you how much I despise this company who are willing to put their customers at extreme risk and offer nothing in return. Good companies when they make a mistake own up and sort it out, don’t expect any of that from Carole Nash.

Silly people quote 1400 for convertable second car 3000miles a year 50pence a mile please dont waste your time Can not get rid of the one star.

Carole Nash are the worst insurance company I've ever experienced. They finance your insurance through close brothers finance. From that point onwards, close brothers message you and so does Carole nash but they dont communicate together so neither of them know what is going on. You can Express your concerns with Carole nash and the rep will ignore you and put you in a complaints process. The complaints team will then send a really long response weeks later taking no responsibility, giving all the excuses under the sun, blaming you, not upholding your complaint and telling you to write to someone else who also doesnt care. For this reason avoid Carole nash is my advice unless you want really stressful insurance cover.

My car insurance renewal has gone up over 100%. Rang the company to see what they could do. They were not interested. Goodbye Carol Nash!

Omg £200 for the year had poli ey for 2 months and needed to an el because they wouldn't insure me on my car and they want £100 to cancel it .!!!!!!!

Didn't cancel policy on old bike and took a 100 pounds out for something I didn't ask to be renewed. Poor customer service and kept being transferred to different people. Avoid like the plague. I wish I'd haveread these reviews first.

I was trying to get an insurance quote, with this company for 39 minutes on the phone with a lady, who did not enunciate very well, then silence, for 7 minutes I waited for her to respond that was 46 minutes of my time wasted, Not impressed I tried to call back and pick up the conversation, but that is not possible no wonder this company is getting such a bad rating. one to avoid in my opinion.

I will never in the future be using this company again for any insurance or would I recommend them to anyone. After receiving my car renewal police to find that the price had nearly trebled in cost and no claims or convictions within the policy term I found this disgusting!!!! However I found another company insuring me for less that Nash did the previous year!!! I know this fluctuation can happen in the insurance world, but the bit that really annoyed me was to cancel my policy I spent nearly 2 hours and 30 mins on the phone and still no one answered my call this is not acceptable for any company to have there customers waiting this long!!! However when I hung up a pressed option to take out a policy with you guys the call was answered within a 1 minute time scale !!!!! It seems you guys are happy to take policy’s on but are not so keen on speaking to your exsisiting customers who would like to cancel policy they have with yous!!! In the end I was able to cancel my policy by live chat……. Maybe you guys just don’t have time to speak to exsisting customers as they are leaving anyways ……….. Avoid this company at all costs DO NOT USE !!!!!!

Had multi bike policy for 4 years without any claims or any problems 1 month before 5th year renewal got text saying they wouldn't be renewing my policy, no explanation! Phoned them and was told they don't do multi bike insurance anymore. I did a quote for multi bike insurance on a comparison site and guess who quoted? Yep,Carole Nash,so obviously lying and I believe the reason they cancelled was because I turned 70 just before they cancelled. Insured through Adrian flux for 3 bikes without any problem highly recommend Adrian flux

Bought a new car 4 months into a policy. New car was in the same insurance group as my old one but they wanted 5 times the amount for the new one, over £1200. I'd had no claims or any changes. Obviously an unrealistic quote but to cancel is £103. Outrageous, they've got you over a barrel either way, i would not recommend this company

Avoid like the plague!!! I only wish I’d read these reviews before I took out car insurance with Carole Nash. absolutely clueless or diss interested call centre staff. Told my insurance was being cancelled after a month I needed to find another insurer. They didn’t cancel my policy and took more money from my account! Thankfully, I managed to speak to a member of staff who seemed to know what he was doing, and I’m now awaiting a refund. Absolute Cowboys! How they are still trading I will never know after reading all these reviews.!!

Insurance renewal increase from £399 last year to £1270 this year. No claims. No changes. Crazy. Trying to call them to get proof of my No Claims Bonus and have been on hold now for 55 minutes and they have still not answered the phone. Avoid.

I just applied for van insurance with this bunch of cowboys. I’ve worked for the NHS for 20 years but they wanted proof, god knows why. So I asked what proof would you like? They said you could send us a payslip !! I asked the female if she would send me her payslip? ‘No’ she said, well why the hell would I send you mine. Honestly never heard of such nonsense, payslips are confidential, who the hell do they think they are.

Absolutely appalling company! Complete rip off merchants who wanted me to pay virtually for my whole policy after cancelling after a month. Either massively incompetent or fraudulent!!
