“It was as far back as 1993 that I had my previous hair transplant being a scalp reduction procedure carried out at a clinic in the Leeds area. Although it was a instant improvement it was quite brutal and the post opp recovery, suffering extensive swelling and bruising with at least 2 weeks recovery time before being able to return to work. So I never returned to complete the treatment, last year I was noticing that my hairline was disappearing and also that I needed other work to improve the overall appearance of my hair. At this stage I was feeling quite nervous, thinking of the past experiences, within a short time I was totally relaxed as the whole team were so good, professional and reassuring, answering all my doubting questions.Although it was a long day the time went quite quickly and once the areas had been anaesthetised which was totally painless, I just sat back, chattering with the team and watching movies. Once finished Jeremy discussed the 7 days post opp procedures and supplied all the medication required. Tomorrow is the 7th day and I must say I have been pain free without swelling or bruising and now thinking what was all the fuss about! “Hair restoration was carried out about four months ago and I was convinced that it wasn't going to work (I had the FUT procedure to cover up my rapidly receding hairline). However, in the last few weeks it has started to come through and it looks even better than I was hoping for! I am blown away at what I can see so far. Dr Nikolaos and his team were very professional and caring throughout the day. The procedure itself was a bit nerve-racking initially, but fairly relaxing once it was on the way. I watched a good few episodes of 'Better Call Saul' during the day which certainly took my mind off what was going on. If anything, the day of the surgery was fairly straight forward. Post op was something that I didn't really think about, other than wanting to see the results. The first few days after the procedure my face started to swell up ...I was informed that this was just the fluids dropping down from the top of my head and needed to go somewhere (just something that I wasn't expecting, but other than looking like Quazimodo, it only lasted a couple of days). The grafts dropped out after about a month (which I was expecting), but it seemed like they were never going to grow again. However, like I said at the beginning, they have started coming through and the hair looks fantastic! Anyways, all I've got to say is if you are thinning on top and it is constantly on your mind and getting you down (like it was me), I would thoroughly recommend FUE Clinics in a blink of an eye.
