“Nicely presented but the chocolates are not as amazing in flavour as I had hoped they would be - comparble to other nice chocolates ie Lindor, Thorntons.”

“After being recommended have to say was disappointed . The liqure ones were too strong and left a bitter taste . The other two flavours were orange truffle chocolate was very bitter even for dark chocolate. The raspberry flavours were barely tasted . However delivered on time and prices were ok for 6 chocolates a piece . Just over a pound per choc . Thank you but will not be ordering again .”

“Delivery and presentation was excellent. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the liquor cherries because of the stones. The stones had partially dissolved in the spirit and fragmented when eaten. Had the cherries been stoned first, they would have been far nicer, it was somewhat unpleasant chewing fragments of cherry stones. Otherwise the chocolate was delicious and I was hoping for an alternative to Hotel Chocolat, but not quite convinced from this.”

Hi We are sorry to hear this. We do have stickers on the packaging of the Cherry Liquers Stating they contain the cherry Stone. The stones dont dissolve in Alcohol so not sure why they were fragmented, but we are very sorry they were and spoilt the experience for you.

“Chocolates were lovely, but after I made a mistake on the order form things went very wrong. I contacted Friars to say I’d mistakenly ticked ‘use delivery address as billing address’. I then sent them the correct billing address. They were lovely and replied saying they would correct it for me. However, what they actually did was mix up the two addresses, with the result that the parcel arrived at my house, with the recipients name. I had to re-address and send it on - which meant I paid postage twice and the parcel arrived late. I appreciate that it was a busy time of year, and I made the first mistake, but attention to detail on customer service would have given you a much higher rating!”

“The coffee chocolates were ok but a little bland and didn’t have a very strong coffee flavour. Expensive. Not a patch on the Thorntons cappuccino chocolates when they used to make them.”
