Tried the vegan Tin Tastic chocolates, disappointed as they weren't very good quality, tasted like cheap chocolate.

I'm hoping these are as good as they look as they are for Christmas presents. If not, then I have made a VERY expensive mistake.

Beautifully arranged and crafted little vegetable basket but absolutely miniscule! Definitely not worth how much i paid. Won't be buying again.

I ordered some 'taster' packs, two were already open. Those chocolates tasted 'dried out'. The whole thing was disappointing, for my taste the chocolate isn't thick enough and the centres were over-sweet. Didn't taste like 'quality' chocolates. I'm so sorry.

The quality appears very good However sone of the items were much smaller than I expected

I liked the dark chocolate gingers. The cranberry ones a bit too sweet for my taste The quality of the chocolate itself wasn't outstanding. Not like that famous chocolate company where I buy most of my chocolate.

Disappointed to be honest. Was recommended Friars as palm oil free manufacturers. I realised, casually reading the ingredients on my £45 box, that only a limited few products are palm oil free. At nearly £1 per chocolate, these are very overpriced and there are plenty of competitors out there of similar quality. At that price I had hoped for the very best ingredients: but what do we get: that ubiquitous palm oil again, whether sustainable or not. As I am opposed on various grounds to buying and consuming products containing palm oil my mistake has cost me dearly! I will not be purchasing from Friars again.

Chocolates are ok but packaging not good box was battered it was ok because they were for me but if they had been a present it would have been a different story.

Referring to my recent order/delivery, am I correct in thinking the dark chocolate-covered caramels have 'shrunk' in size, but the price remains the same! I'd be interested to have your thoughts on this. Thank you.

Hi Louis, Thank you for your review. We are sorry if the caramels seemed to have 'shrunk'. This is a hand made product and so the size of the individual chocolates can vary from batch to batch but should still have an average weight as advertised on the back of the packet and on the website. I recently purchased rum truffles as a gift for someone and treated myself to the lemon cupcake chocolates . Sadly there was not much of a lemon flavour to them so was disappointed and wouldn't purchase again, I just hope the rum truffles are better.(can't comment as they are not for me ).

Packaging and appearance of the chocolates is excellent. Unfortunately we found the them too sweet for our taste and lacking in a good coffee flavour.

The product - marzipan fruits - is fabulous, but was very disappointed that although I paid for next day delivery my order wasn’t despatched in time for me to give it to the friend I was visiting who lives a distance from me. It transpired that I was 2 minutes after the cut off time of 3pm in placing my order. I feel strongly that the next-day delivery fee should be refunded. Sincerely, T. Cross

These chocolates were ordered for a friend. I thought that I was ordering from Hotel Chocolat so I was very surprised after I had paid for them to find that the chocolates were from Friars.

We always buy Friars rose and violet creams, so we were disappointed with our latest order to find that the rose creams did not have the usual topping. Just a few thin bits sprinkled on the chocolate. Why?
